Mateo left for Costa Rica late last night. He's taking NH's surf team down there for President's Week. This will be the longest we've been apart in almost 13 years!
The kids and I made him a "care" package that included cards for him to open each day he is away. Inside we tucked photos, pictures the kids drew, and love notes I created on the computer. The one he opens today is all about how he's The Mac to my Cheese. The Diet to my Coke. The Olive to my Martini....

Kate & Paul surprised us all and flew in the for long weekend to celebrate my Dad's birthday! They just showed up at our fancy dinner celebration Friday night. I think everyone in the restaurant thought we were crazy when we first saw them arrive. It has been such a fun weekend! Today, we are all off on an adventure. We aren't quite sure what it will be yet, but it's starting with breakfast burritos, so it's already a success.
