So - Molly's potty training has been going pretty well. We bought a pink Disney Princess potty and that has been the trick. She rarely has a pee pee accident. Still in pull ups for naps and night time - but other than that, I think she's almost got it down.
But then there's the poop part. For some reason - going #2 on the potty (princess or not!) is not her thing just yet. She'll tell me she has to go, and we'll go sit on the potty, and then she'll start to cry and tell me "Scare Me, Momma!....Get Pull Up!" I have heard of this happening...and I didn't really want to reinforce the pull up thing...so we've been having lots of conversations about how going poop is not scary!
Last weekend, when the girls stayed overnight with my brother Andy and his wife so Matt and I could celebrate our anniversary, Molly was having one of her go rounds. They were all trying to help her feel better about the process. Andy tells me that this is how Megan reassured her little sister:
"It's okay, Molly, you can do it. Everybody poops. Andy poops, Mommy and Daddy poop.....EVEN JESUS POOPS!"
How classic is that?
