Under the Sea

A couple weekends ago, Matt's parents, Papa Tim & Grandma Janis, took us all to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. The girls loved it! It was so interesting, educational, beautiful and fun. I was really impressed with how clean everything was and the number of specimens they had. I loved how the girls could see everything easily and up close. It was fun for them to be hands on and really interact with so many things.
Megan said her favorite part was Lorikeet Forest. It's a huge outdoor aviary with live birds inside that you get to hold and feed. The rainbow colored birds happily climb onto your arm and drink a sweet nectar from little cups, right out of your hands! The girls thought that was pretty neat. Molly said her favorite part was the tank with "A whole lotta Nemos!" We also got to visit Shark Lagoon, pet sting rays, and see sea lions, sea otters, jellyfish, starfish, crabs and seahorses.
It was a great day, and especially fun because we got to share it with Grandma and Papa. At the end of our exploring, Grandma took the girls to the gift shop and let them pick out whatever they wanted as a memento of our fun. True to form, Megan picked two seahorse necklaces and Molly picked a tank top! Very cute.

Thanks Papa and Grandma! We had so much fun. We love you! XOXOXO
