Quarter of a Million

Ok...so, there are MANY more to come, but here are a few FIRST sneak peeks of the 2012 CHOC Children's Glass Slipper Guild Gala, "The Kid In All of Us," from our outrageously fantabulous photographer Evan of Kaptured Images. Hello - he is silly good. He (and his team) was running around like a crazy person making sure he got all the shots I told him I wanted. Plus he edited the proofs to make me look like this (see below) and he has ridiculously beautiful blue eyes. Kaptured Images captured the event, and my loyalty/heart, last Saturday night. Evan - props. You're adorable. And you're a great, sweet, fun, hard working photographer!

Me and Kristen. This girl...I cannot say enough. We've practically LIVED together these last few months. I joked she should set up a cot at my house. She is beautiful inside and out. And I couldn't imagine tackling this crazy project without someone like her by my side. My partner in crime, has my heart forever, did I mention she has 3 year old twin girls and is 8 months pregnant. Oh yes. This girl....

Dresses by DVF and Badgley Mischka. No big deal. My (raving) review of Rent The Runway coming soon. I'm addicted.

Signature Drinks. Cotton Candy Martini & CHOCO de Mayo margarita.

Shady Canyon Pool Deck. Where the Silent Auction and Cocktail hour was held.

CLICK HERE to see all the proofs of the night on Evan's website.

The rest of the images below, I shot...no editing yet, so the lighting is not the best. But still gives you a good idea of what it looked like under the canopy before all the guests arrived! I loved the colors and Karla of Elegant By  Design came up with three different centerpieces, as well as extra fun and elaborate centerpieces for the VIP Tables. When you first entered the canopy, it was breathtaking!

A quick shot of the ferris wheel before the sun set and they turned on the lights! It was really magical once it got to spinning. Kristen and I were glad we splurged on this.

Much more to come. Much, much more. The program. The patients. The food. Our Guest Speaker. Matt's black on black. The dancing. It might take multiple posts. But I'll get there!

The first of the "printed press" was released yesterday. Here is a link to the Orange County Register. YEP! Those numbers are correct. Close to a quarter million dollars raised for the hospital Saturday night. I'm still pinching myself. I hope you click thru the slide show. Picture 21 is my favorite. One of Matt and my life long friends. Being so him. It's classic Greg.
