Laura tagged me in a meme...which I am fond of doing...so I had to oblidge!First, post a picture of you and your kids.
2. What are their ages?
Megan is 5, Molly is 31/2 and Wyatt will be ONE on Sunday!
3. What time do you start your day?
Anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30 am. Depending on when Wyatt wakes up. If the kids have been up a lot in the night (last night I was awoken SIX different times by 3 different children!) then I am a Cranky Mommy and Daddy gets the morning going and I sleep until he leaves at 7!
4. What do you eat for breakfast?
Eggs and toast or english muffin with cottage cheese on top. Washed down with a Diet Coke.
5. Do your kids watch TV?
Is this a trick question? Are there really kids out there who DO NOT watch TV?!
I try to limit it to one half hour show in the mornings EACH - meaning both girls get to pick one to watch from the TiVo (because they can never agree!) And then one show in the afternoons after naptime. Sometimes they get more if I need to focus on the baby and I need them to be quiet. Current Faves include: The Backyardigans, Super Why, Signing Time and Max & Ruby.
6. What are their favorite activities?
Megan loves gymnastics, running, playing school or house with Molly, singing, dancing and reading books. She could watch TV all day if I would let her. Molly loves to play outside, ride her bike, pack her purse with "special stuff," play school and house with Megan, skipping and putting on lip gloss. She couldn't care less about TV and usually leaves the room 5 minutes after I put "her" show on. Wyatt loves to eat, sleep, stand on his own, crawl around following his sisters from room to room, and find every ball in the house and yell "Get Get Get" at the ball! He too couldn't care less about the TV.
7. Do you get a break during the day for some you time?
THIS is the trick question, right?! LOL!
I try to get everyone in the house (including daycare kids) asleep in the afternoon around the same time. I can usually swing 30 minutes to an hour where the house is quiet and I can do what I want - usually blogging, checking email, folding laundry, and watching TiVo'd Young and the Restless. Most of my personal time comes after the kids go to bed. I stay up till midnight most every night.
8. How do you end your day?
Reading or blogging on the couch. Matt is usually breaking down football tapes or lesson planning next to me. Sit quiet and pray in bed before I fall asleep. For my kids, my husband, my marriage, health, wisdom, patience, ENERGY for another day!
9. What is your best parenting advice or tip?
When in doubt, take a deep breath, and let the little things go. Be in the moment with your kids. Ten years from now they wont remember if the house was clean, or if you were "put together" each day. But they will remember that you played with them, read to them, made them feel important and secure.

Joanna you can do this too, if you want...but I hope you will be having a BABY today instead of blogging!
