Okay - time for all the skeletons to come out of the closet! I am a coke addict and I need help. As in rehab. My problem is starting to affect my children and that's where you are supposed to draw the line, right?
I've known I have had a problem for some time. But this morning's events have led me to believe I might need professional intervention. Anyone who knows me, knows I love Coke - as in the cola variety. (Diet Coke when I am not pregnant). I drink one every morning by 7:30AM with breakfast. I don't like coffee...we don't even own a coffee maker...so it's my jolt in the morning.
I have been known to put 5 kids in the car and get to a drive thru if we are out in the mornings. Or call my Mom at work and invite her over for lunch....as long as she'll bring me my fix from the vending machine in her office! Any other time during the day I either drink Coke or water....maybe milk with dinner. Not the best habit. I try to limit it to 2 cans a day. But that doesn't always happen. Anyhooo.....
This morning Matt and I had a simple miscommunication that led to pregnant, emotional Me shedding some tears. We figured it out and he left for work. I was drying my face and composing myself when Megan asked, "Why are you crying, Mommy?" to which I replied, "Oh it's nothing honey, Mommy just got her feelings hurt." She thought about it for a minute and said "Did Daddy take your last Coke for breakfast?"
Yes...I need help. Does anyone know of a Coca-Cola rehab facility???

I must say...that skeleton hangs out in my closet too. Diet Coke & Oatmeal for breakfast every morning...sick, huh! Have you seen the new diet coke plus...it is like diet coke with a multivitamin! Don't be too hard on yourself, but I am sure it doesn't hurt to try to be healthier...what ever you feel you need to do to work towards that...
