Back in the Saddle for the 4th

Yeah! We bought a new laptop and are back up and running. I impressed myself by finding the correct software online to update all our digital camera stuff to run with Windows Vista - downloaded it, installed it and used the application successfully ALL BY MYSELF!! I am a computer genius.
Happy Birthday America! We hosted the 2nd Annual Burns' Family BBQ Bonanza on the 4th. It was a lot of fun for all. Good food, great friends, and awesome fireworks made the event a success. I made skirts for the girls to wear - finishing at noon that day! And they ran around - eating and playing and eating-until almost 10:30PM! The latest they've ever stayed up. We enjoyed beer pong, too many sweets, and fun company. My girlfriend Meredith was in town from Colorado, and my cousins from Anaheim came too! I loved all the kids running around. My brother Andy introduced the girls to the little snap things that make a loud "crack" when you throw them to the ground. Megan called them "pop its" and is still asking me if I have any more for her to play with. Once it was dark, Matt and his friends became pyros at the end of our driveway. And above the treeline, we got to enjoy the big fireworks in the sky, that the Santa Ana Country Club shoots off. Here are some pics of the day. If you want to see the entire album, look on the right under links - and click on Burns Picture Albums.

Burns Family July 2007 - you can even see Wyatt in my tummy. Can we ever ALL look at the camera at the SAME time!?

Megan and Peyton Hlista in the skirts I made them.

Some of my family - Counterclockwise L to R (my mom, Susan, my cousin Linda, her kids Andy and Natalie, my sis in law Adrie and my brother Andy, Molly, and Linda's husband Bob)

Sparklers!! Grandma Janis smuggled us some of the good kind from Iowa!
