I think I do...

It's no secret I like Pop Music. And when I say Pop, I mean TEENY BOP POP. I like lots of other kinds of music too - but there is just something Tiffany-esque about Pop music that makes me happy. Makes me want to get up and dance, sing, RUN. Heck - if it can get me singing and dancing while I'm executing things like cleaning toilets, changing sheets and vacuuming dust bunnies - then it freakin' ROCKS in my book, okay peoples?

So it shouldn't surprise you that I downloaded the new song by Nick Jonas and The Administration last week. "Who I Am" quickly got stuck in my head and moved it's way up my running playlist (maybe even knocking Miley down a few! shhhh.....) It's catchy and has that hopeless romantic refrain that gets me every time. The boy is only 17, but cute with a good voice and I couldn't help but succumb. Okay, Nick, it's official. I like you. Love?? Not sure yet.

But then I Googled the new video. And after watching it, I have to say, I think I do.

I think I do love Nick Jonas for Who He Is. For sure, I LOVE how his video is not loud, super fast, overly colorful images of half naked girls. Rather it's simple, black and white, and the message is awesome. For being just 17, I'm impressed with the choice to make a video like this. Oh yeah, and that ring on his left hand? A purity ring. Just sayin'.

It doesn't surprise me that Nick has ventured out on this solo endeavor. You may remember that when we saw the Jonas Bros in concert last year, one of the top 10 things I noticed was that Nick was obviously the one with the musical talent.

Now before any of you crucify me for this post....you should know, 3 out of the 4 members of "The Administration" were members of New Power Generation. And if you can honestly say you don't like Prince...well then, maybe we shouldn't be friends. We for sure can't clean house together! =)

Also....this message was in my Nike+ inbox today, I think I could get used to being called a distance demon! =)

And finally - how many of you caught my spelling error in my last post but were just too nice to tell me? Don't worry. My Mamacita called me right away and said "I'm sure you've changed it by now. It's so obvious, I mean my eye went right to it!....but um, you spelled JOYfully wrong in that picture!"

Well no. I hadn't changed it. Hadn't even noticed. That's my Mother. I joke she should walk around town with a red pen. She is a spot on speller. (And instantly notices when others are not!)  Rest assured. It's spelled correctly on our chalkboard now. I'm just too lazy to take and repost a new picture! Thanks Mom.

I'm with you. Nick Jonas rocks. I took my daughter to one of their concerts when they were first starting, and when we got in the car afterwards, I told my husband that Nick was something special. He is humble, talented, God-fearing, focused, (and cute). At that first concert Nick played piano, sang, played guitar, played keyboards, talked about writing most of the songs, and did back flips on stage. Dang.
A plus for me: my daughter is a huge Nick fan so her walls are covered with posters of him. I'm glad, cuz it would look a little funny if I had posters of him hung up in my room!!!!

Didn't even catch the spelling error. Show you how detail-oriented I am!

I just got Miley's song (my first) "Party in the U.S.A." and I love it. Check out Jaymes Reunion. I think might like them. I do. And they go to my church. The lead singer is Debbie Alsdorf's son (Debbie is our women's ministry director).

Oooookay, I am just head-over-heels for little Nick Jonas!!! That song & video were AWE-SOME! Right away the teacher in me couldn't help but see a school-wide assembly starting off by playing that video....what a great visual and mini lesson on diversity and acceptance! LOVE IT! Thanks for posting, Erin. I've been waiting to hear his solo album! Miss you!

haha. this post craps me up for 2 reasons. one i got suckered into taking my 12 year old cousin to see the jonas brothers this past summer because i'm the "music freak" in the family and i honestly can say that their concert was one of the best i've ever seen. i had never listened to them before going, but as a frequent concert goer, i was actually extremely impressed with the entire show and i've seen quite a few concerts. those boys have great hair too :)

secondly... my mom is so the mom that corrects my blog too. she loves to email me & let me know when she finds something mispelled & i love her for that!

thanks for sharing the new video. it's a great song!
