Growing Up Girls
The girls of Bringing Up Burns are Growing Up! They are both so independent. Every time I turn around, it seems they can do something else all on their own. And once they know how to do something - they never again want ANY help!
The other morning, as I was changing Wyatt, I hollered to the girls that it was time to brush our teeth and hair and to meet me in the bathroom. By the time I got in there - they were both already doing it themselves! I don't know why this surprised me so - but it did. Megan even got the back of her head and put in her own hair clips! Molly squeezed the toothpaste all by herself - and when I checked her teeth, they were really clean! I didn't even have to re-do anything.
When you do something for them everyday for the past 3-4 years, and then all of a sudden you don't have to do it anymore...it just really made me realize how quickly things change and how much they are growing up. The fighting over the step stool (to see in the mirror) also made me realize how much we'll need more than one bathroom in the future!!
